Healthy primary teeth or baby teeth is vital for proper chewing and establishing proper alignment of the adult teeth coming in correctly. Early loss of primary/baby teeth due to decay and infection will compromise your child's bite, alignment, and formation of their adult teeth.

In addition it is never too early to have your child get familiar and comfortable visiting our Bellevue dental office.

Not sure how to care for your child’s teeth? Stop by our Issaquah dentist office and ask. We’re happy to help guide you on the day-to-day care for their age. Introducing them to proper oral health early will help them form good habits, get them accustomed to daily oral care and regular dental visits, and give them a healthier smile that will last a lifetime.

Checkups & Cleanings

The best way to prevent oral disease and decay is to brush and floss on a regular basis. Brushing alone cannot completely remove all the plaque build-up, but brusing along with daily flossing can help prevent oral disease and decay. Checkups allow your dentist in Issaquah to help prevent and catch any future dental problems. If your teeth are healthy, a visit once a year may be enough.

Crowns for Kids

A child with severe decay on his or her front teeth may require this type of esthetic crown. A stainless steel crown is coated with an attractive resin material and the crown is placed over the tooth after the decay is removed. This is a great restorative option to maintain teeth that may otherwise require extraction.

Sealants for Kids

A dental sealant is a thin plastic film painted on the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars (the teeth directly in front of the molars). Sealants have been shown to be highly effective in the prevention of cavities. A sealant can last for as long as 5 to 10 years. Sealants should be checked at your regular dental appointment and can be reapplied if they are no longer in place.

Fillings for Kids

A composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling. Because composite fillings are tooth colored, they can be closely matched to the color of existing teeth, and are more aesthetically suited for use in front teeth or the more visible areas of the teeth.

Age One Dental Visit

We recommend that brushing begin as early as six months, (or as soon as your child’s first tooth appears) and that they should see a dentist before their first birthday. That may sound young, but it’s never too early to start thinking about your child’s oral health. More than 40% of kindergarten-age children suffer from tooth decay. It’s even more common than asthma or hay fever.

What People Are Saying See how our patients love us!

April is so nice and fun, makes waiting for my kids a breeze! Free coffee too! The office is flexible and always work within my busy schedule. Thanks crew!

Scott C. on Yelp

The dentist is not my favorite place to be. But everyone I have encountered-especially, the front desk staff have been so welcoming, which has made me feel less nervous. I've recommended a couple people and they have all had great experiences and are returning patients.

Miriam H. on Yelp

As a family we have been coming here for years--both for pediatric care as well as adult care. The experience has always been great. April at the front desk is a gem--Seriously she needs to be cloned. I never have to worry about my insurance coverage or anything. She always takes care of everything.

Tori M. on Yelp

The front office staff is welcoming and helpful, the assistants and hygienists are kind, efficient, and fun, and the dentists are knowledgable and always more than willing to make sure their patients leave happy.

Kenna R. on Yelp

Dr. Scott and his team are amazing I appreciate the individualized care. The office always has an energized attitude and are always doing fun activities.

Teaessa C. on Yelp

This office is awesome!!!!!! Wish i came here as a kid.. Here now and dont plan on going anywhere else. Best one ive been to.... ever!

Vanessa K. on Yelp

I love this dentist. I've been seeing Dr. Scott since I moved back out here 8 years ago. I was a huge fan of my dentist back in Atlanta, so I was a bit disappointed to have to change to a new dentist. However, Dr. Scott is every bit as good. I especially appreciate that when I had a crown break, he offered to come in on the weekend to fix it.

Matthew H. on Yelp

I've been taking my kiddo there for nearly 4 years now and we are super happy with Dr. Thoa and her staff. The nurses are all very friendly and help young children through their concerns and fears. X-rays, cleanings...they can all be intimidating for young child and the staff just know how to make it all fun and informational.

Arpana S. on Yelp

Drs. Scott and Thoa are extremely professional and fun. My daughter's both have seen Dr. Thoa for 3 years now. And my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Scott for 3 years as well. Fortunately we have good teeth, so Dr. Scott hasn't had to perform any work, but Rose always makes the cleanings pleasant. Dr. Scott has officially recognized me as his "Best Patient Ever"! (Take that, Brian).
